Honors Achievements & Affiliations
Dr. Mittenthal currently serves as the Head of the Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science department. He is actively involved in the Business Analytics initiative in the Culverhouse College of Business, serving as a member of the organizing committee for the Business Analytics Symposium since 2012; and is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS). Dr. Mittenthal applies his expertise in scheduling and applied optimization to real-world, practical-based problems. In addition to serving as a referee for scholarly journals, including Operations Research, Naval Research Logistics, European Journal of Operational Research and International Transactions in Operational Research, he is on the Editorial Board for Computers and Operations Research. Dr. Mittenthal is the author or co-author of more than 20 refereed journal articles in these and other publications.
Focus and Current Research
