Bama Blitz

Our Bama Blitz priority for 2022 is to help defray the cost of the study abroad experience for more of our students, especially those who are first-generation, have financial constraints, or have never been abroad. Your generosity can and will support the costs related to travel in the pursuit of professional and academic growth for our students. With the lifting of travel restrictions, our goal at Culverhouse is to help more students fulfill their study abroad ambitions.

First-Generation Student Emergency Support

Those students who are the first in the families to attend college may need extra assistance in their academic journeys. Your gift to our first-gen student emergency support fund will do much to alleviate the real financial pressures that these students often face.

LEWIS MANDERSON SUPPORT FUND

Lewis Manderson Jr., a dear friend of the Culverhouse College of Business, recently passed away at the age of 94. His name graces our graduate school of business and landmarks in Tuscaloosa and elsewhere. To support our graduate students at this time, a special fund has been set up in his name.

DEI SUPPORT FUND

The recent announcement of Dr. James King as the Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) further illustrates the commitment of the Culverhouse College of Business as it looks to promote measurable outcomes and improvement concerning DEI. One of our goals during this time is to increase philanthropic support in a way that will minimize the number of Culverhouse’s underrepresented minority students who abandon or delay their degree pursuits because of virus-related financial hardship.

GENERAL CULVERHOUSE FUND

Serving as the annual fund for the College, gifts made through membership in Culverhouse Executives Society are used to ensure every Culverhouse student receives a superior and enriching education by funding programs and experiences that grow their professional skills, connect with employers, and ultimately separate them from their peers.
