U.S. News & World Report Ranks Manderson Online Degrees #5 in Nation

#5 Online Masters program for 2022 per US News and World Report

The online degrees offered by the Manderson Graduate School of Business at The University of Alabama are again ranked among the very best in the country by U.S. News & World Report. According to the publication’s 2022 list of Best Online Graduate Programs (non-MBA), Manderson places in 5th overall and 2nd among schools in the Southeastern Conference.

“Our top-10 ranking is absolutely reflective of the hard work that we’ve put into our programs,” said Sharif Melouk, Associate Dean of Manderson.

“I want to personally thank all the faculty, staff, and students who are part of this story.”

The Manderson degree options assessed together for U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 list of Best Online Graduate Programs (non-MBA) included the following degree programs: the Master of Science in Operations Management (including a decision analytics concentration), the Master of Arts in Management with a global business concentration, and the Master of Science in Marketing (including a marketing analytics concentration).

206 schools were included in the 2022 rankings.

Factors that the publication used to decide rankings for 2022 include opportunities for students to engage with instructors and other students, surveys of employers and academic officials, faculty credentials, student excellence, and incorporation of diverse online learning technologies.

The Manderson Graduate School of Business is housed within UA’s Culverhouse College of Business. Culverhouse itself is the largest college on UA’s campus with a student body of over 9,600 students and 60,000-plus alumni.

Culverhouse Dean Kay M. Palan said, “Our online business master’s degrees have traditionally been some of the best ranked in the country. Despite the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on higher education, we’ve persevered and continue to excel.”

“Now we are 5th among all online business graduate programs in the country according to U.S. News & World Report. I am beyond delighted.”

Furthermore, the online bachelor’s business degrees offered by The University of Alabama are ranked #4 in the country by the publication for 2022.

In addition to its online specialized master’s options, Manderson offers a variety of other on-campus degree programs, including a Master of Science in Business Analytics and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems.

Manderson is also home to an acclaimed on-campus MBA program, which was ranked 44th in the nation and 22nd among public institutions last year by U.S. News & World Report.
