Alumna Hewson Named CEO of the Year

Culverhouse grad Marillyn A. Hewson, chairman, president and CEO of Lockheed Martin Corp., has been named 2018 Chief Executive of the Year by Chief Executive magazine. The award is “bestowed upon an outstanding corporate leader, nominated and selected by peer CEOs.”

According to those CEO peers, Hewson has “led her company with tremendous vision and integrity” and is “absolutely a beacon of excellence.”

In September 2017, Hewson returned to her alma mater to give a $5 million gift to support cybersecurity research and education.
