Daniel Bachrach Named SIOP Fellow

Culverhouse Professor of Management and Robert C. and Rosa P. Morrow Faculty Excellence Fellow Daniel Bachrach has been named a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or SIOP.

Bachrach is one of 20 distinguished industrial-organizational psychologists to be awarded SIOP Fellow status on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the 34thAnnual SIOP Conference.

The profession of industrial and organizational psychology addresses the full range of human interactions in organizational settings. Members of the profession may be researchers, teachers, practitioners or administrators. They work in several settings including in business, government, consulting, and academia. SIOP Fellows may be recognized for outstanding contributions to the profession in any of these areas.

Dr. Daniel Bachrach is both a world class scholar and a world class teacher. He publishes in the best journals in areas such as organizational citizenship behaviors and transactive memory systems in teams.  His work has been cited 9257 times. Daniel joined the faculty of The University of Alabama in 2002 and became a full professor in 2014.

To be considered for SIOP Fellow status, a member must be nominated by another member, and endorsed by at least three more SIOP Fellows. A member who has been active in the Society for ten years or more is eligible based on meaningful, sustained and unusual impact on the field.
