On February 23rd the world of Wall Street descended on Tuscaloosa for the third annual Capstone Student Investment Conference, held at the Bryant Conference Center on the University of Alabama’s campus.
Hosted by the Culverhouse College of Business and its Value Investing program, this year’s CSIC attracted more than 325 student and professional attendees from throughout the Southeast and beyond, who learned from and interacted with a distinguished line-up of speakers, including Joel Tillinghast of Fidelity Investments, Dan Davidowitz of Polen Capital, Laura Geritz of Rondure Global Advisors and UA alums C.T. Fitzpatrick of Vulcan Value Partners, Richard Adams of Everpoint Asset Management and Heath Terry of Goldman Sachs.
CSIC’s goal is to be a must-attend event for students and professionals from across the country seeking both timely ideas in the current investment environment as well as timeless wisdom for navigating ever-changing markets to come. Those attending CSIC also benefit from meeting with a large number of like-minded peers who have similar interests, aspirations and talents, helping all in building out networks that are likely to pay dividends far into the future.
