GAMMA IOTA SIGMA (GIS): EPSILON CHAPTER

Gamma Iota Sigma is the only international collegiate fraternity for students interested in risk management & insurance and actuarial science professions. Gamma Iota Sigma pursues a mission to promote and encourage student interest in the industry as a profession while encouraging its members’ high moral and academic attainments. Since its incorporation in 1965, Gamma Iota Sigma has chartered over 100 chapters across North America and boasts an annual membership of more than 4,000 students and an alumni population of over 25,000.

The Epsilon Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma was established at The University of Alabama on March 3, 1972. Membership benefits include scholarship consideration, on-campus workshops, webinars, career and internship placement, and experiential travel opportunities. In addition, Epsilon Chapter representatives regularly participate in the annual Gamma Iota Sigma Leadership Conference and International Conference in the fall.
