EDGE Hosts Tuscaloosa Innovates
Hot off the heels of recent business pitch and innovation competitions that awarded well over $100,000 to UA student, faculty, and staff entrepreneurs comes the results of the 2020 Tuscaloosa Innovates Competition. The competition, which awarded $15,000 in money plus in-kind support, was held on May 28 in an online, virtual format.
The EDGE, the business incubator and accelerator that is overseen by Culverhouse’s Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute, hosted the event.
The $10,000 TCIDA Grand Prize was awarded to TUTR, which is a Tuscaloosa-based mobile application that offers a 24/7 digital, tutoring marketplace for undergraduates, graduate students, & alumni to connect in a comfortable, on-demand & convenient manner. See all the prize winners here.

Huntsville EMBA Deadline to Apply
Our Executive MBA program, which recently announced new features to its curriculum to better accommodate the schedules of busy working professionals, has an upcoming deadline to apply for the Huntsville track on July 6. The Tuscaloosa deadline to apply is Oct. 19.
Hewson Hall Updates
Construction for Hewson Hall continues, with completion expected by fall 2021 in time for classes and college events.
