Culverhouse’s Case Teams roll in 2024-25

Case

As the spring 2025 semester draws to a close, it’s time to look back at our various Case Teams and how our extraordinary business students have excelled in 2024-25. Student teams trekked across the country and even ventured north into Canada. They returned home with multiple honors while representing The University of Alabama with pride and continuing a strong standard for excellence in case competitions.

During the 2024-25 academic year, our Case Teams racked up six first-place wins, three runner-up spots and a third-place finish, and claimed prize money in the process.

Advised by our director of experiential learning, Quoc Hoang, each Case Team is a dynamic group of students committed to ongoing development, both personally and professionally. By engaging in the case competition process, members sharpen their analytical thinking and presentation abilities while competing at events nationwide. The shared journey fosters meaningful connections that continue well after their time in the program, evolving into lasting friendships.

Each competition team consists of four or more students. Each case centers on real-world business problems—ranging from market entry strategies and refining a company’s core message to designing innovative recruitment approaches. Strong presentation skills are also essential, playing a key role in delivering impactful solutions.
