Culverhouse Associate Professor of Accounting Dr. Troy Pollard was awarded the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) 2024 Educator of the Year Award recently. ASCPA works to advance the careers of Alabama-based accountants through advocacy, education, and member engagement.
Also the director of the MAcc program, Pollard is a former auditor at Deloitte and , and holds a PhD from University of Colorado Boulder.
In a LinkedIn post, the Culverhouse School of Accountancy wrote, “Dr. Pollard’s dedication to our students and department make him a worthy recipient of this award. He always looks for ways to enhance the student experience and make things more fun!” At the time of posting, more than 40 alums, students, and colleagues had chimed in to congratulate Pollard for the well-earned award.
