Four Faculty Members Promoted

Profs

At Culverhouse College of Business, our faculty exemplify innovative research, effective teaching, and engaged service, and our promotion process rewards excellence in these areas. Four Culverhouse faculty members have been promoted effective August 16: Drs. Iman Dayarian, Michael Ford, Shane Stinson, and Quinn Swanquist.

Dr. Iman Dayarian has achieved tenure and has been promoted to associate professor of operations management in the Department of Information Systems, Statistics, & Management Science. His research interest lies primarily in practical decision making, exploiting advances in optimization techniques. Dr. Dayarian holds a PhD from the University of Montreal.

Dr. MIchael Ford has been promoted to professor in the Department of Management. HIs research interests include emotions and motivation; employee-organization relationship; occupational health, stress, and safety; and work-life balance. Dr. Ford holds a PhD from George Mason University.

Dr. Shane Stinson has been promoted to professor. His research interests are in financial accounting and taxation. Dr. Stinson is the Stimpson / Gulf Lumber Company Faculty Fellow at the Culverhouse School of Accountancy, and holds a PhD from Texas Tech University.

Dr. Quinn Swanquist has been promoted to professor. His research interests are in auditing, capital markets, and research methods. Dr. Swanquist is the Ernst & Young Professor of Accounting and holds a PhD from the University of Tennessee.
