Featured Event: Culverhouse Get On Board Day

This week, come to Hewson Hall between 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday for our annual Get On Board Day! Organizations and clubs that are oriented toward business students will be there.

Get On Board Day is one of the best ways to meet people with similar academic or professional goals. Make sure you stop by!

Also, consider attending the general University of Alabama Get On Board Day event on the Quad, tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30.

Featured Program: the Bachelor’s in Finance

This week, we wanted to shine a special spotlight on the finance bachelor’s degree program in Culverhouse.

The utility of a finance degree in the business college is that it gives you flexibility in what you want to do post-graduation; the field spans many opportunities, from investment banking to consulting. Groups on campus like the Culverhouse Investment Management Group and the Capstone Asset Management Society both manage a portfolio of stocks, which presents an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about the world of finance.

Furthermore, concentrations like value investing and financial engineering allow participants to focus on areas most relevant to their career goals.
