• The Business Cybersecurity, BS helps business students move into post-graduation roles focused on business issues related to cybersecurity. This includes a focus on analyzing, assessing, understanding, organizing, and managing cybersecurity programs and initiatives. This degree program allows students move into entry-level roles such as cybersecurity analyst, information security analyst, technology auditor, and data management specialist.

Business Statistics

• The Business Statistics, BS provides a base knowledge of statistical methods, the applications of these methods to various disciplines, and the mathematical underpinnings of statistical theory. The curriculum focuses on a core set of methods, including applied computational methods, and demonstrates how these methods can be used in everyday decision making in a business environment. The goal of the program is to enable students to enter the workforce providing an immediate positive impact to their employers by leveraging their knowledge of statistical analysis.

Operations Management

• The COOs of tomorrow specializes in Operations Management today. The major focuses on the effective management of the resources and activities that produce or deliver the goods and services of a business, therefore keeping it in business. Operations managers oversee the people, materials, equipment, and information resources a business needs to produce and deliver its goods and services. Many of the most well-known data systems operating the processes and activities of the worldwide business are designed by operations managers.

Business Cybersecurity

• The Business Cybersecurity minor provides students with a general introduction to the principles and practices of cybersecurity in business and organizational settings. Through this minor, students will gain the skills necessary to participate in the full spectrum of security program planning, including security policy development and planning for incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management. The minor will also provide students with the skills required for the more applied practices of networks security, application security, threat detection analysis, prevention, and remediation. Given the need for good cyber hygiene as part of a workforce, the business security minor is an excellent counterpart to any undergraduate program at The University of Alabama.

Statistics

• The Statistics minor equips students with a general introduction to statistical theory followed by further training in statistical methods and computational statistics. Through this minor, students will gain the skills necessary to participate in statistical analysis and data science in business, engineering, or scientific fields and greatly enhance their preparedness for graduate school in disciplines involving quantitative analysis. The Statistics minor is an excellent counterpart to any undergraduate program at The University of Alabama.

Supply Chain Management

• Supply Chain Management (SCM) refers to the coordination of processes across a supply chain to effectively manage the flow of materials, services, and information to satisfy customer demand. Our SCM minor follows the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model focusing on the Make-Source-Deliver processes of supply chains. The four required courses of the minor support the SCOR model.
