Alabama Insurance Day 2017

Please join us for Alabama Insurance Day (I-Day) on Wednesday, October 11 from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm in the Bryant Conference Center. This year, Alabama I-Day presents a compelling series of experts on disaster risk management including Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, Insurance Commissioners David Altmaier (FL), Mike Chaney (MS) and Jim Ridling (AL), WorldCom whistleblower Cynthia Cooper, and Shari Natovitz, risk manager for the World Trade Center rebuild. Registration is required to attend.

An added feature of Alabama I-Day this year is the Career Fair from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Nearly 20 companies will be on display and many will be recruiting students for internships and entry-level positions. Exhibitors include the Alabama Center for Insurance Information & Research, Alabama Independent Insurance Agents, Alfa Insurance, AmWINS Group, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., AXA Advisors, Cobbs Allen, HealthMarkets, Kerper-Bowron, Lockton, National Security Group, Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Protective Life, SCOR, Southland Benefit Solutions, State Fire Marshall Fraud Unit, Strengthen Alabama Homes, Wealth Solutions Group, Willis Towers Watson, and more. Although 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm is devoted especially to students, employers will be at their booths throughout the day and students are encouraged to drop by at any time.

Alabama Insurance Day (I-Day) is a premier insurance conference for industry professionals in the Southeast. The annual day-long event features an outstanding program of premier speakers in property-casualty and life-health insurance, risk management, and employee benefits. The conference also offers tons of networking, a career fair for students interested in the industry, and CE, CLE, and CPE credit for Alabama insurance agents, attorneys, and accountants.

Fall 2017 Career Fairs

The Fall 2017 career fairs are just around the corner! The General Interest and Business Career Fair will be held Wednesday, September 27th and the Technical and Engineering Career Fair will be on Thursday, September 28th.

Both fairs will be from 10 AM to 3 PM at Coleman Coliseum. Students can click “Join Event” to ensure they’ll receive a pre-printed name tag, and they can “Favorite” employers as they decide which booths they most want to visit.
