The Culverhouse College of Business offers students a personal, engaged learning experience backed by a long record of excellence in teaching, research, and service. The College offers degree programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, and have been continuously accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 1929—placing us among the less than 6% of business schools worldwide to hold this distinction. In 1981, the Culverhouse School of Accountancy became one of the first 13 programs in the nation to earn separate AACSB accreditation in accounting.
Culverhouse is also home to a number of research and outreach centers that make impacts throughout the region and on campus. Some, such as the Alabama Productivity Center, leverage student talent to assist area businesses, which also turns into a hands-on learning opportunity for participating students.
Located off the west side of UA’s quad, the Culverhouse College of Business campus includes historical and state-of-the-art buildings such as Alston, Bidgood, and Hewson Halls, as well as the Bruno Library and Bashinsky Computer and Collaboration Center.
Culverhouse students can take a deep-dive into society-changing research by participating in the Faculty Scholars program and the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (URCA) Conference.
Complementing the classroom, experiential learning, which can take the form of an internship or work-study experience, improves students’ abilities to critically analyze and evaluate the relationship between academic knowledge and real-world contexts.

The STEM and CREATE Paths to the MBA offer high-achieving undergraduates in STEM and creative disciplines a unique opportunity to earn an MBA from the Manderson Graduate School of Business in just one year beyond their undergraduate studies. Both programs focus on innovative problem-solving, blending academic depth with functional skills in leadership, communication, and professionalism, while fostering collaboration across diverse fields of study.
The University of Alabama’s Accelerated Master’s Program allows students to start a graduate degree while obtaining an undergraduate degree, saving time and cutting costs. Through the AMP, students may take courses that count simultaneously toward an undergraduate and graduate degree by taking up to 12 hours of graduate courses during senior year.

A: Culverhouse has many specialized support units just for business students including student academic advising, a career center satellite within the business school, and The Office of Professional Development and Engagement.
Q: Do students at Culverhouse have the chance to engage in “real world” application of what they learn in the classroom?
A: Yes, experiential learning is a key for Culverhouse, and 91% of our graduating December students indicated that they had engaged in some form of experiential learning including internships (66%) and study abroad (13%).
Q: How well do students do after graduation?
A: Our current placement statistic is 92%. Given our national and international footprint, we attract the best companies from around the world to recruit our students.
