Matt Ander received a B.S. in Finance with a minor in English from The University of Alabama. He currently serves as Director of Technology Partnerships for the University of Alabama, where he provides leadership, management, and operational oversight for technology support teams serving the Capstone College of Nursing and the Culverhouse College of Business. In this role, he partners with academic and administrative leadership to align technology services with organizational priorities, ensuring the reliable, secure, and effective delivery of mission-critical systems and applications. He also oversees technology initiatives, system lifecycles, vendor relationships, and service delivery across a diverse portfolio of university units.
Prior to this appointment, Matt served as Director of Technology and Distance Education for the Capstone College of Nursing, where he led strategic technology initiatives, instructional technology support, distance education services, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise technology implementations.
Before joining the Capstone College of Nursing in 2014, Matt was the NextGen Systems Specialist for the College of Community Health Sciences at The University of Alabama.
Matt has worked in information technology since 1997, building extensive experience across higher education, healthcare, finance, banking, and consulting environments. Throughout his career, he has focused on leveraging technology to improve operations, enhance service delivery, support teaching and research, and foster successful partnerships across organizations.
