My research appears in scholarly periodicals such as Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, and International Journal of Production Economics. My research has also been sponsored by various agencies including the National Science Foundation, the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, and the Army Research Laboratory. My work on inventory management policies for commercial organizations prior to the landfall of a hurricane or major storm received an Emerald Literati Network award. My commitment to excellence and creativity in teaching has been recognized by the Culverhouse College of Business with the Thomas D. Moore Endowed Teaching award and the John Bickley Innovation and Creativity award.
