The Austin Cup is the highest student honor awarded by the Culverhouse College of Business. Presented annually, it recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and meaningful contributions to the college and community. One recipient is selected from each of Culverhouse’s academic departments.
Jordan Copenhaver is the Austin Cup awardee from the Culverhouse Department of Marketing and is earning a Master of Science in Marketing, with concentration in digital and social media marketing along with bachelor’s degrees in marketing and economics. Copenhaver’s honors include President’s List, recipient of UA Scholar and UA Leadership and Achievement Scholarships. Copenhaver is in the Manderson Specialized Master’s Association, Economics Student Association, Undergraduate Research Conference presenter, Al’s Pals Mentoring, Culverhouse LIFT Lab, and Office of Undergraduate Research Board of Students. Copenhaver also served as a faculty research assistant at the Culverhouse College of Business.
Geoffrey Dubay is the Austin Cup awardee from the Culverhouse Department of Economics, Finance, and Legal Studies, and earned both finance and economics bachelor’s degrees and a minor in real estate. He is a National Merit Scholar, Presidential Scholar, member of the University Honors College, and three-time Alabama President’s List honoree. Dubay served as research assistant for Culverhouse College of Business Faculty Scholars Program. He served as coach for the Tuscaloosa Academy varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams, and manager of the UA volleyball team, while also doing volunteer work with International Connect, Diocese of Arlington, and LIFT Lab.
Brae Lee Morris is the Austin Cup awardee from the Culverhouse School of Accountancy and majored in accounting with a concentration in professional accounting. She landed an internship at Moore Colson Accounting Firm in 2024, was a Supplemental Instruction Leader for the AC 210 classes, and peer coach for the University’s Early College. A Culverhouse Scholarship recipient, Morris’ other honors include Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honor Society, Women Talk Wealth member, and is on Culverhouse Student Recruitment team.
Keaton Morrison is the Austin Cup awardee from the Culverhouse Department of Management and dual majored in both management and finance with a concentration in health care analytics. Morrison is a recipient of Presidential Merit Scholarship from 2021 to present, President’s List from 2021 to present, Bronze Quality Fellow at the Mayo Clinic, and member of UA’s championship SEC cross country team from October 2022. She was also team captain for the cross country team in 2024. Morrison was also president of UA’s Healthcare Analytics Society. She volunteered for Pathways into Healthcare Program at the Mayo Clinic and with the Crimson Tide Thank-A-Thon, through The Crimson Tide Foundation.
Micah Pentecost is the Austin Cup awardee from the Culverhouse Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science and majored in management information systems. Her honors and activities include president of the UA chapter for the Association for Information Systems and helped plan the recent AIS campus conference, MIS Ambassador, Church of The Highlands Student Leader, UA Innovate Company Liaison, President’s List, Pariveda Challenge champion, and MIS 221 and MIS 321 Award recipient.
