Yufei Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Alabama. She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from Michigan State University. Her research broadly focuses on marketing strategy, with particular interests in digital marketing, retailing—especially e-commerce—and crowdfunding. Her work has been published in leading journals such as Marketing Science, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, and International Journal of Research in Marketing, among others.
Dr. Zhang currently serves on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Business Research. Prior to joining the University of Alabama in 2025, she served on the faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham beginning in 2018.
