Dr. Dwight Lewis is a researcher affiliated with Culverhouse’s Institute of Business Analytics and faculty within the Department of Management. He was previously a postdoc researcher in the University of Alabama School of Medicine system working at both the University of Alabama Birmingham’s Nutrition Obesity Research Center and The University of Alabama’s Institute for Rural Health Research. In his work there, he published research investigating weight underestimation, socioeconomic status, body composition, and community-based approaches to mitigating obesity.

While earning his graduate degrees, Dr. Lewis worked as a graduate assistant and adjunct instructor for the Departments of Health Science and the Center for Academic Success at The University of Alabama. His educational areas of focus were health promotion and business intelligence.
