The Association for University Business and Economic Research (AUBER), a professional association of leading university-based economic research centers across the U.S., has elected several new officers and directors to its board at its recent conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Kathy Deck, director of Community and Economic Research Partnerships at the University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Commerce, was named AUBER 2017-18 president.
I'm so honored to have the chance to lead AUBER and look forward to continuing our efforts supporting high quality economic research from university centers,” said Deck. “For 70 years, AUBER has been the premier national organization for regional economics centers in universities, and the work we do this year will lay the foundation for the next 70 years.”
Bruce Kellison, the 2016-17 outgoing AUBER president and director at the Bureau of Business Research at the University of Texas, Austin, welcomed new board members and said, “AUBER’s board of directors will benefit from this influx of new talent and fresh perspective from across our membership.”
