It’s an exciting time at the Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama.
The latest Culverhouse Research and Impact Report highlights a college that continues to build a strong national reputation for meaningful, forward-thinking scholarship. This year, Culverhouse rose to No. 80 among American business schools in the University of Texas at Dallas’ Naveen Jindal School of Management research rankings, and No. 86 in North America, marking the fifth consecutive year the college has ranked among the top 100.
That momentum is driven by its people. Faculty such as Peter Harms, recently named a Distinguished Research Professor by The University of Alabama Board of Trustees, exemplify the impactful, sustained scholarship that defines Culverhouse. His work on leadership and human behavior in high-stakes environments continues to influence both academia and practice.
At the same time, the college is leaning into a pivotal moment in business education. As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes industries, Culverhouse is actively integrating AI into classrooms, research, and strategy. Through its Institute of Data and Analytics, dedicated AI lab, and expanding faculty work, the college is helping define how these technologies are understood and applied, while also preparing students to use them responsibly, with both technical expertise and ethical judgment.
Together, these efforts reflect a college committed to advancing knowledge, preparing the next generation of leaders, and meeting the moment.
