Dr. Labon received her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2013. She previously coordinated the Crimson Edge Program and now coordinates the Culverhouse College of Commerce Faculty Scholars Program. She serves as the First Vice-President (2014-2016) of the University of Alabama Academic Advising Association (UA-AAA) and maintains membership in The Global Community for Academic Advising (NACADA). Her recent involvement in NACADA includes a presentation, Developing your Advising Philosophy, which was sponsored by the Advisor Training and Development Commissions. Dr. Labon is a Safe Zone Ally, Harbor Ally, and REACH Champion.
