Alabama Productivity Center
Barika McNeal is a Productivity Engineer for the Alabama Productivity Center, a part of the Culverhouse College of Commerce at the University of Alabama. Barika is a 2002 graduate of Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Logistics. During her junior year Barika participated as a logistic intern with Toyota Motor Sales in Los Angeles CA.
She received her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2008. Barika has over 14 years of progressive supply chain and transportation management experience in automotive and industrial industries.
Upon graduation from Alabama A&M, Barika joined Ryder Integrated Logistics in Rainbow City, AL in 2002. During her tenure with Ryder she served in various increasingly responsible roles with the most recent as the Group Logistics Manager supporting Honda Manufacturing of America. In that role she directed the business operation, including financial and performance management and developed strategies to drive customer retention, facilitate business growth and productivity.
Barika was an active mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Alabama for 10 years. She received the Big Sister Mentor of the Year Award in 2005. She continues to support United Way and their outreach programs.
Barika joined APC in 2017 and will use her industry experience to serve as a learner leader in support of the center’s clients and the internship student program. Barika is a member of The Worship Center Christian Church in Birmingham AL and enjoys sports and traveling with her family.
