Dr. Ellinger has received Best Paper Awards for publications in Supply Chain Management - International Journal (1996), International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management (1997), Journal of Business Logistics (2002), Human Resource Development Quarterly (2003), and the Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice (2008). Dr. Ellinger serves as co-editor of the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management and as an Editorial Board member forJournal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management - An International Journal, Supply Chain Forum, Industrial Marketing Management andJournal of Business Research.He received the University of Alabama American Marketing AssociationOutstanding Marketing Educator Award in 2009, and was inducted as a Faculty Member of Omicron Delta Kappa, The National Leadership Honor Society in 2010.He is an active member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, the Warehouse Education Research Council, the Academy of Marketing Science, and the Society for Marketing Advances. His research interests include human resource development strategies in the supply chain, cross-functional integration, customer service performance improvement process and resource-based theory. Prior to entering academe, Dr. Ellinger worked in the retail furniture industry for 12 years in the United Kingdom and North America.
