Professor Allaway has been published in a number of academic journals, including Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Research, Growth and Change, Economic Geography, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Advertising, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Advertising Research, and the Research in Marketing series. He received the Journal of Retailing Best Article Award for 1987.
