Honors Achievements & Affiliations
Dr. Mittenthal is currently the program coordinator for the MS in the Operations Management Program. He is actively involved in the Business Analytics Initiative in the Culverhouse College of Commerce, serving as a member of the organizing committee for the Business Analytics Symposium since 2012. Dr. Mittenthal is an active member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS). As a faculty adviser for Alabama Productivity Center projects, Dr. Mittenthal applies his expertise to real-world, practical problems, including work with Mercedes-Benz U.S. International. In addition to serving as a referee for scholarly journals, including Operations Research, Naval Research Logistics, European Journal of Operational Research and International Transactions in Operational Research, he is an Area Editor for Computers and Operations Research. Dr. Mittenthal is the author or co-author of more than 20 refereed journal articles in these and other publications.
